Amazing picture of the money and the mountains.

I stopped by Scott's shop during wine tasting and I have to say, his wine was amazing and he didn't have to use snakes or centipedes. :)

Hi Kevin,
Just in case you get some comments from people you've never heard of, I've been bragging about your great pictures and descriptions of the places you visit and have given some people the link to your site.
Love,
Mari
PS. The pictures of the river trip looked like you had entered an ancient Chinese postcard.

I guess it must have been a distilled liquor, since wine would go bad really quickly, but yeah, the critters are added to the finished product, they aren't put in during fermentation or anything.

Air pollution was ever present, but mostly not too bad. Some days were worse than others. In these pictures, the mist is just mist, not smog.

Snake and centipede wines!? I presume they just add the protein to rice wine for medicinal purposes. This is Spring Barrel weekend in the Yakima Valley and everyone is looking for a way to differentiate their winery, but I don't think that idea will catch on here. We may be in Eastern Washington, but not eastern enough.

I'm glad China is taking steps to deal with air pollution. Did you find that to be an issue throughout your travels there?
